🐾 Meet Andre – Our Gentle Giant Looking for a Forever Home 🐾

When Andre first came to us, he was in a heartbreaking state—sick, injured, and barely able to move. His founder told us he was so weak, he didn’t even react when birds pecked at him. Our dedicated trapping volunteer spotted him limping and having trouble walking and knew he needed urgent help.

Thanks to lots of care (and two surgeries), Andre has made a wonderful recovery! He has a chipped tooth, and one of his ears is just slightly lower now due to the healing of a bad abscess, but it only adds to his unique charm. Now he’s happier and more adorable than ever.

Andre is a loving, talkative cuddlebug who just wants to be close to his people. He came in very scared and would hiss when startled, but never once showed aggression. Understandably, after such a hard life on the streets, he can still be nervous around loud noises or sudden movements. If he is frightened, he will quickly retreat into his igloo to hide, but a gentle voice is all it takes for him to come running back for more snuggles. 🥹

Now that he’s feeling safe, he loves gentle rubs on his neck, chest, and tummy—and he’s even learning how to be a lap cat! Despite his big size, Andre is hilariously uncoordinated when he plays, which only makes him more endearing. He enjoys snuggling in bed, sunbathing, exploring his surroundings, and chatting away with a variety of sweet meows.

Andre would do best as the only cat in a calm home, where he doesn’t have to share his food or your affection. He’s ready to build his confidence and let his quirky personality shine even brighter.
