Personality

Calling all Rottie lovers, this boy is not to be missed! He’s a 1-2 year old Rottweiler looking for his new home with bags of potential!

Gunner sadly came into our care after being taken to the vets for euthanasia after he nipped a visiting teenager in the home. He had previously lived with children and older teenagers and had no issues prior to this incident with them or visiting children either, but moving forward will need a child free home.

Perfect Match?

We were told that Gunner was so fearful in his previous home he had to be walked early mornings when it’s quiet. He can still be a bit skittish and unsure of traffic and loud noises on his walks, but has grown so much in confidence and is continuing to get better & better everyday.

Gunner’s new owners will need to continue exposing him to new situations and help building his confidence.

Our staff & volunteers have reported that Gunner is an absolute dream! He is very excitable for his walks, will jump up in excitement and loves to receive lots of fuss & affection! He is partial to a few treats too.

Gunner is still being tested around other dogs with us, but we wouldn’t rule him out living with a calm female pending multiple successful meet & greets. He hasn’t been cat tested.
