Adopt a Dog

Milo

Age: 2

Breed: Staffordshire bull terrier cross

Vaccinations: Up to date

Suitable environment: Adult Only Home, No Other Dogs, No Cats

Personality

Milo is currently in a foster home after being taken out of a neglectful situation. He was crated constantly in a crate that was so small the poor boy had to crouch more and more as ge grew. He was not socialised at such a key period in his life and needs someone willing to “go back to basics”.

Hopefully for Milo it’s now a case of onwards and upwards.

Despite his difficult start milo is playful, energetic and boisterous. He loves cuddles and interacting with his family. He also adores playing with rope toys, his tire, and spending time in the garden

Milo is Excitable but can be nervous in certain situations. Especially new experiences.

Milo Understands basic commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “wait”

He is  Learning to be gentle when taking treats

He will make someone a very happy person!

Health & Behaviour

Milo is currently in a foster home and is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

He has no known health issues

Milo can growl when overwhelmed, especially around younger, louder children. This is him communicating his discomfort and should be listened to.

Due to Milos sheltered past he has not been socialised with other dogs or animals. Milo has shown he can be reactive to passing dogs so will need further work with this. He would benefit from a confident & firm owner who is prepared to continue training & socialisation around other dogs out and about.

Perfect Match?

Milo needs a patient and understanding owner who can continue his training and socialisation.

A family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide a structured, loving environment would be ideal.

A home with a garden or outdoor space for play and training.

– Preferably a quieter household

– Ideally, an environment with no other pets due to his lack of socialization
