Diva ❤️

Diva is one of our long-term residents and, after being in the cattery for such a long time, we really, really want to find her a home before we have to close.
Diva is a funny little cat because she can be quite unpredictable. One day she can be hissy and unsure of you and may give you a little swipe if she feels uncomfortable, and then another day she can be an absolute sweetheart.
She definitely seems to choose her people. There are some volunteers she is much more comfortable with than others, and when Diva chooses you, she REALLY chooses you. ❤️
One of our volunteers, Mia, is absolutely adored by her. Diva will crawl all over her, happily accept strokes and fuss and purr away like a completely different cat. It’s lovely to see because it shows us that there is a very affectionate little girl underneath that sometimes defensive exterior.
We think Diva needs someone who understands that she isn’t going to walk into a new home and immediately be everyone’s best friend. She needs somebody patient who will let her settle, give her space and allow her to decide when she’s ready to trust.

After spending so long in a cattery, we honestly don’t know what Diva would be like once she has a home of her own and isn’t constantly surrounded by other cats, people coming and going and the general comings and goings of cattery life.
We’re looking for someone very special for her, someone who is happy to take things slowly and see what develops.
And if you’re not sure you could commit to Diva permanently but think you might be able to give her a chance, we would also love to hear from anyone who could foster her. A foster home could give Diva the opportunity to experience life outside the cattery and, hopefully, allow her personality to really blossom.

She isn’t going to be the right cat for everyone, but we absolutely believe there is someone out there who will understand her.
After all this time, we’d just love for her to finally have her chance.
