Adopt a Cat

Evangeline’s early life remains a mystery. She was picked up by our rescuers as a stray or possibly ferral. It’s truly a wonder she survived all that time on her own out in the elements. A truly resiliant spirit.

She was very timid and wary of humans when she was first brought in and would mostly hide from our volunteers. She then spent months of her life in a cattery (much better than the streets but no place for a timid cat long term) before being taken into foster where she’s slowly come out of her shell.

Since being in foster she’s come on leaps and bounds. From spending the first few weeks hiding under a wardrobe to playing with her feline friend, Erica, and even accepting fuss. Turns out she even has a bit of a mischevious side! She LOVES a good play session with a wand toy or laser and will happily pounce on her long suffering play mate!

Evangeline is a sweet, gentle spirit who despite her fears has never even hissed at her fosterers. She just wants to find a kind family or companion who will love her, play with her, and show her that there’s no need to be scared anymore. Their patience will certainly be rewarded with a friend for life.
