Adopt a Cat

After six months in foster care, the time has come for Kiwi and Peach to find the loving forever home they deserve.

Kiwi (male) and Peach (female) are a beautiful bonded pair, now around 15 months old, and they must be adopted together. Their bond is still very much intact – they groom each other, seek comfort from one another, play together, and settle down to snooze side by side.

When they arrived with us at around nine months old, they had had very little socialisation with people and were absolutely terrified. They hid in bookcases, perched on top of wardrobes, and spent much of their time avoiding us.

Peach has blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest companion you could wish for. She adores being stroked and cuddled, and if she had the choice, the fuss would continue all day long. She has never used tooth or claw and has become a wonderfully affectionate, loving little cat.

Kiwi’s journey has been different, but no less remarkable. Although he still doesn’t want to be touched by human hands, he is a happy, relaxed and confident little cat in every other way. He’ll often come over to sniff an offered hand before deciding that perhaps he’d rather admire you from a slight distance! He walks around with his tail held high, is completely at ease in the home and loves being part of the family. He absolutely loves interactive play too!

Both cats are very relaxed and have integrated beautifully. They are used to living with a dog – in fact, the dog regularly gives Kiwi a wash, which he absolutely loves! They have also lived alongside our resident cat.

Kiwi and Peach are both neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. They are looking for a quiet, calm home with patient, understanding adopters who appreciate that trust takes time. They would be happiest in a home without children, with someone who understands timid cats and will allow Kiwi to continue building confidence at his own pace while enjoying Peach’s affectionate companionship.
