This is Monkey Joe. He got his name for the obvious.. he likes to climb!
Monkey Joe came to us from when we took over the new cattery. He’s a very timid boy and freezes in his bed when we enter his pen.
He’s improving day by day, and our volunteers are working on giving him gentle strokes and talking to him when we’re in with him. Sometimes he’s okay with it, other times he’ll turn into a monkey and run off and climb! We don’t push it with him as slow and steady wins the race!
It would be great to get him into a home where someone who is patient and savvy to work with him and build his confidence. We have many nervous, timid cats who desperately need somewhere to go for some rehab and learn humans are ok!
