Adopt a Cat

Neeko was born on an industrial site in Wrexham with his siblings. His brothers and sisters were caught and brought into rescue a few weeks before him, but Neeko disappeared for a couple of weeks before suddenly turning up again.

We went back out to try and catch him and, on one visit, actually caught a tomcat instead! Thankfully, we were able to get him neutered and return him safely.

Neeko was still keeping his distance, but the lovely office workers on the site had realised he needed help too. They set a trap themselves, managed to catch him and then called us.

He went straight into foster care and, honestly, we couldn’t believe the change in him.

This little kitten who had spent his whole life outside immediately climbed onto his fosterer’s lap and wanted cuddles. It was almost as though he’d just been waiting for someone to give him the chance.

He’s been an absolute joy ever since. He’s playful, affectionate, loves attention and is just a really lovely little boy.

He’s also a very vocal little lad! He has absolutely no problem telling his fosterer when his food is late or when she hasn’t played with him for quite long enough! He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it.

Neeko has also been treated for a cough with antibiotics, which isn’t really surprising considering he spent the first four months of his life outside in all weathers. He’s doing well and is being well looked after in foster.

So now we’re looking for the right home for this beautiful little boy.

Neeko has come such a long way from that wary little kitten hiding around an industrial site, and he really deserves a lovely home of his own.
