Adopt a Dog

Bentley came to us from a pound, where he was due to be put to sleep. At the very last moment, things changed for him and we stepped in. Thankfully fosters opened their home and have been providing with some much needed love and care.

He’s a 4 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross and in the home he is just a sweetheart. He loves being close to his people, enjoys a fuss, and settles down really nicely.

He’s been great with visitors, happy to say hello and then go back to relaxing. Once he feels comfortable, he’s an affectionate, “lean into you for cuddles” kind of dog.

He does find the outside world a bit much at times. Walks can be overwhelming for him and he can react to other dogs, bikes, and sometimes people. He’s strong on the lead and can lunge when he’s unsure. That said, there are glimpses of progress and with time, patience, and the right guidance, he has every chance of continuing to improve.

Bentley needs an adult only home, with no other pets, and someone dedicated to his training and willing to teach him that outside really isn’t that scary .

He’s not a perfect dog, but he’s a lovely one with a lot of potential. After everything, he really does deserve someone who will give him that bit of extra understanding.

Bentley got his second chance… now he’s just waiting for his person.
