Adopt a Dog

Meet lovely Dottie, an 8-year-old French Bulldog who is looking for a new forever home through no fault of her own.

Sadly, Dottie’s owner, who has dementia, is moving into a nursing home and can no longer care for her. This has been a much-loved companion, and we are determined to find her the caring home she deserves.

Dottie is an absolute sweetheart. She is quiet, gentle, and incredibly well-behaved. She loves nothing more than cuddles, company, and a cosy place to relax. She enjoys short walks and walks beautifully on the lead.

Dottie is currently with a temporary carer and has met visitors, other dogs and a cat without any issues and has taken everything in her stride. She’s such a calm girl that she doesn’t even bark when the doorbell rings!

Because Dottie has always had someone around for most of the day, we feel she would be happiest in a home where she won’t be left alone for long periods. She really thrives on companionship and simply wants to be near her people.

As Dottie has not lived with young children before, we are looking for a home with older teenagers or adults only. She has been calm and friendly around other dogs and could potentially live with another dog, subject to successful introductions. She has also spent time around a cat without any issues, so a home with a cat could be considered.

If you’re looking for a loving, low-maintenance companion who will happily spend her days by your side, Dottie could be the perfect match. She truly is an angel who just wants a peaceful home, plenty of affection, and someone to share the sofa with.
