Adopt a Dog

Meet beautiful Lottie, a 7-year-old French Bulldog who has had a difficult few years and is now looking for somewhere she can finally settle and feel secure.

Through a series of changes in circumstances, Lottie has had three homes in less than three years. Her most recent move was through no fault of her own, and we want to make sure that her next move is her last.

The good news is that Lottie is now safely in a foster home with us, where she can decompress, receive the care she needs and show us more of her lovely personality. ❤️

Lottie is described as a calm, quiet and affectionate girl who enjoys cuddles and snuggling up with her person, but she also has an independent side and is perfectly happy doing her own thing.

She is friendly with people and has previously been around children. Visitors don’t seem to faze her either — her usual response is apparently to have a little sniff… and then wander off! 🥹 She isn’t a dog who needs to be the centre of attention and is quite happy simply being near you.

Lottie does, however, have some things she will need help with.

She has had very little experience of walks throughout her life and hasn’t been regularly walked for around two years. She finds being put on a lead difficult and can be a flight risk outdoors, so her new family will need to be patient, understanding and very careful about her safety.

Rather than expecting Lottie to suddenly become a confident walking companion, we are looking for someone who is prepared to take things slowly, build her confidence and introduce her to the outside world at her own pace. ❤️

🏡 Lottie’s ideal home:

❤️ A calm and quiet home
❤️ Ideally adults or a family with older children
❤️ No other pets
❤️ Someone patient and understanding
❤️ A secure garden and careful management when outside
❤️ Someone prepared to continue supporting her veterinary needs

Lottie appears to dislike cats and has had limited socialisation with other dogs, so we feel she would be happiest as the only pet in the home.

She enjoys toys, particularly tug toys, travels well in the car and has previously been left alone without any separation anxiety being observed.

🩺 Lottie’s health

Lottie is spayed and is currently receiving veterinary care for ongoing skin difficulties. She has been biting her paws, sometimes causing them to bleed, and her foster home will continue to support her treatment while she settles.

Her forever family will need to be prepared to continue any veterinary care she may need.

After everything Lottie has been through, we’re looking for something very simple for her:
