Meet Marshall, a handsome 2-year-old Collie mix who is searching for a patient, experienced home where he can truly flourish. ❤️

Marshall is a sensitive boy who can become overwhelmed in certain situations and may react out of fear or anxiety. He needs someone who understands his body language, can recognise when he is struggling and is confident enough to guide him through those moments.

But when Marshall feels comfortable and knows what is expected of him, you get to see the wonderful dog underneath. ❤️

We saw exactly that at our recent dog park day. Marshall had an absolutely brilliant time! He met lots of our volunteers, made some lovely new friends and thoroughly enjoyed all the attention. He had a fantastic time chasing balls and even enjoyed taking a dip in the bath!

🎾 And does this boy love a ball! He could quite happily chase one all day long. 😂

Marshall also seems to get along really well with the dogs he meets when he’s out and about, happily enjoying their company.

Once Marshall has a routine, builds trust with his handler and understands what is expected of him, he is a completely different dog. He’s affectionate, playful and incredibly loyal. He loves a good fuss and enjoys getting out for walks with his favourite person.

Marshall isn’t looking for perfection — he’s looking for someone willing to understand him.

He needs an owner who can provide clear, fair and consistent boundaries, along with the patience and confidence to continue building his trust and helping him navigate the world.

In return, Marshall has so much love and loyalty to give. Once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a devoted companion who will adore spending time with you. 🥰

🏡 Marshall’s ideal home:

• An adult-only household.
• An experienced, confident owner who understands sensitive or anxious dogs.
• Someone patient, calm and committed to maintaining his routine and continuing his training.
• A home where Marshall can settle at his own pace and build a strong bond with his person.
• He could potentially live with another dog, subject to successful introductions.

Marshall deserves the chance to live the happy, secure life every dog should have.

He doesn’t need someone to change who he is. He needs someone who will take the time to understand him, build his confidence and show him that the world can be a safe place. ❤️
