Max is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Patterdale Staffie cross who’s ready for a brand-new start after a rough beginning. This sweet boy came into our care after being taken to the vets to be put to sleep — through absolutely no fault of his own.
Max adores human company and loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa with his people. He’s happiest when he’s with someone and would love a home where his family is around most of the time, especially while he settles in. He can find being left alone a bit stressful and isn’t keen on spending time in his crate just yet, so patient adopters who can help him build his confidence will be perfect for him. A Patterdale/Terrier experienced home would be beneficial.
At night, Max sleeps soundly downstairs and during the day he’s calm and settled as long as he has company. He’s toilet trained (with the occasional little accident while he’s settling), walks nicely on the lead, and gets very excited when he sees his harness — walkies are one of his favourite parts of the day!
He’s friendly with people and can live with older children, and he enjoys meeting calm dogs out and about, though he prefers to avoid bouncy or excitable ones. Max is currently living with another dog in foster care, and could live with another pending successful meets. He could possibly also live with cats too!
Max is a bright, agile boy — he can jump over baby gates and even open doors! Because of this, a secure garden with a 6ft fence is essential.
Despite his difficult start, Max has such a big heart and so much love to give. He’s looking for a patient, caring home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of the family. In return, he’ll give you endless cuddles, loyalty, and affection.
