Max is a 6 year old Shar Pei x Retriever searching for his new family through no fault of his own.

He’s a truly lovely boy with a big heart. Happy, affectionate and full of personality. Max enjoys nothing more than a good walk, a run in the fresh air and then coming home to relax by your side. He’s also content pottering around the house!

Max has grown up around older children, but he would really thrive in a calm, adult-only home where he can settle.

While he can sometimes get along with other dogs, we feel he’d be happiest as the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.

He can be a little unsure when meeting new people, so he just needs someone patient who will give him the time and gentle introductions he needs to build trust. Once he does, you’ll see what a loyal and special companion he truly is.

Max would be perfect for someone who enjoys their walks and wants a best friend who can match their energy, but also curl up and relax at the end of the day.
