Personality
Nancy is a great dog—beautiful, good with kids and other well-balanced dogs. She craves companionship and will happily cuddle up next to you but may playfully grab something to get your attention if she feels ignored. She’s loving, playful, and intelligent. Nancy is really in her element outdoors and thrives in nature. She loves to explore and is always up for an adventure, making her the perfect companion for outdoor activities. She doesn’t tire easily and can go out for four walks a day and still be ready for more. We believe she needs more than just exercise to mentally challenge her, too.
Health & Behaviour
Nancy is in perfect health, bursting with energy, and enjoys long walks. She thrives on stimulation and needs to be kept busy due to her high intelligence. While she’s generally well-behaved, she could benefit from additional socialisation and manners training when meeting new dogs. She’s shown an interest in chasing livestock when given the chance, so this is something to keep in mind, though with maturity and additional training, it could improve.
Her recall is quite good but could use a bit of fine-tuning—she’s shown great potential and could be fully trained to the whistle. Lead walking is also good, especially in a harness, and with a bit more training, she could learn to walk at heel. Nancy would also make an excellent Cani-sport dog, as she runs well on the lead, but she needs the mental stimulation that comes with proper Cani-sport, not just the physical exercise.
Perfect Match?
Nancy would thrive in an active household with a family or couple who enjoy spending time outdoors. She could live with other dogs with slow introductions but is not suitable for a home with cats or small furries. She would do best in a home where someone is often around, as she loves human company and would make an excellent adventure and Cani-sport companion. Nancy needs a home where plenty of time can be dedicated to keeping her entertained and mentally stimulated, as she can go for hours without resting and loves attention.
