🐾 MEET NEO – A HANDSOME OLDER GENTLEMAN LOOKING FOR HIS HAPPY EVER AFTER! ❤️

At around 10 years old, our lovely Akita Neo really shouldn’t be spending his golden years in kennels. He deserves a comfy bed, a loving family and a home where he can enjoy all the little things that make life special. 🏡❤️

But please don’t think that just because Neo is a senior boy, he’s ready to put his paws up and do nothing! Far from it! This lovely lad still has plenty of life left in him and a cheeky streak that we’re discovering more and more.

Neo LOVES his walks, and at a recent trip to the dog park, he had an absolute blast! Watching him run around, stretch his legs and enjoy some freedom away from kennels was just wonderful. 🥹🐾 You could see just how much he was enjoying himself!

And just when we thought it was time to head back, Neo decided his adventure wasn’t quite over! 🙈😂 He kept running away when it was time to leave, leaving our volunteers doing their best to catch this cheeky old chap!

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? 😉

Neo clearly still has a zest for life, and we’d love nothing more than to see him enjoying that life in a home rather than behind kennel doors.

👂 A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT NEO

We’re not entirely sure whether Neo may be deaf or partially deaf, or whether he simply has that famously selective Akita hearing! 😂💙

It’s something potential adopters should be aware of. We’d love his new family to be understanding of this possibility and happy to adapt to his needs if necessary.

🏡 WHAT SORT OF HOME IS NEO LOOKING FOR?

❤️ A home with older children or an adult-only household.

🐶 Potentially a home with other dogs. Neo has shown positive reactions towards the dogs he’s met so far, and introductions can be arranged to see how he gets along with any potential canine companions.

💙 A loving home where he can enjoy his walks, have a comfy place to snooze, receive plenty of fuss and finally enjoy the retirement he deserves.

At around 10 years old, Neo has already lived so much of his life. We want his next chapter to be filled with comfort, kindness, adventures and a family who will cherish him for the wonderful boy he is. ❤️

Senior dogs deserve happy endings too. They deserve warm beds, gentle adventures, loving companionship and somewhere they can finally relax and feel at home.
