Ollie is a 3 and a half year old Rottweiler looking for a very special, experienced home where he can feel safe, understood and respected.
Ollie is a typical loyal Rottweiler who bonds deeply with his people, but he does not give his trust away quickly. He can be unsure of new people and does not enjoy being over-fussed, especially during initial meetings. He needs patient adopters who will allow him the time and space to build a relationship at his own pace. With multiple calm introductions, tasty treats, and his favourite squeaky toys, Ollie does come around and begins to show his affectionate and playful side.
Because of his traits, Ollie must go to an experienced home that has previously owned Rottweilers or similar guarding breeds. He needs confident, knowledgeable handlers who understand body language and are happy to work at his speed.
Ollie is looking for:
• An adult-only home
• No other pets
• A calm, quiet household with minimal visitors
• Owners committed to multiple meet-and greets
Ollie previously suffered from hip dysplasia. He is currently managing well with sensible, controlled exercise and pain relief. At this stage, his routine should remain as it is — steady, manageable walks and careful monitoring to keep him comfortable and happy.
In the right home, with structure, patience and understanding, Ollie will be an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. He isn’t for everyone, but for the right person, he will be worth the time and effort.
If you feel you could offer Ollie the experienced, quiet home he needs, please get in touch to discuss further.
