Personality
Paddington is a 7-year-old Japanese Spitz and the very definition of a dapper gentleman. With his classic Shih Tzu tail, soft-as-clouds coat, and that permanently handsome face, he’s a real head-turner—but he’s not just a pretty face!
Paddington came to us through no fault of his own after his previous owner became homeless, along with four other dogs. Despite the upheaval, Paddington has stayed cheerful, affectionate, and full of fun.
Don’t let his age fool you—he’s sprightly, curious, and still has plenty of bounce in his step. He loves fuss and adores being with people. He’s also the kind of easygoing chap you could happily take to the pub or on outdoor adventures.
Health & Behaviour
Paddington has shown no behavioural concerns during his time with us, although he isn’t keen on being left alone so would be best suited to an owner who is home often or can take him along on their daily adventures. He thrives on companionship and loves being part of the action, whether that’s pottering around the house or heading out and about.
He walks well on the lead and has been fine with new experiences and environments, taking them in his stride with typical gentlemanly poise.
Perfect Match?
Paddington would suit an active home where he’s not left alone for long periods. A household with older children or other friendly dogs would suit him well. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, relaxing at home, or popping to the local beer garden, Paddington’s your loyal sidekick through it all.
