Sandy is looking for her forever home

Meet Sandy — a small, chunky Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross around 6 years old, with the biggest heart and an endless amount of love to give

Sadly, we don’t know much about Sandy’s past, other than her previous owner never came back for her. But since being with us, Sandy has shown everyone exactly who she is — a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores people.

Sandy will need a pet-free home, but she could happily live with dog-savvy older children or teenagers, pending successful introductions.

Incredibly friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets

Always wagging her tail and ready for fuss

Playful and loves her toys

House trained and settles well in a crate

A real people-dog who thrives on companionship

Here’s what Sandy’s fosterer says about her during her recent foster holiday with them

“Sandy is an awesome little diva who’s very chill around the house — she loves keeping the sofa warm next to her people, kisses, belly rubs and playing fetch. She knows a few tricks but likes to play dumb if she can get away with it.

Out and about, Sandy is doing really well with her lead walking and is building a lovely heel. She can be quite aware of other dogs around her, so she’ll need continued sensible management and guidance when out and about. Sandy especially enjoys shorter walks at the beach or through long grass, and nothing beats a cosy car ride home afterwards.

If anyone’s looking for a companion dog she’d be perfect, but honestly she’d be happy with anyone who can match her level of love and affection.”
