Scooby is searching for his forever home!
Meet Scooby, a lovable 3-year-old Staffy cross with the biggest heart and so much love to give.
Scooby came into our care after being imported to the UK. His original foster placement made the difficult decision to return him shortly after he arrived due to concerns around reactivity. We didn’t see any of these behaviours in our care until his most recent home, which may help explain where some of his reactions have come from.
Scooby has recently been returned to us after displaying resource guarding around high-value treats, such as bones. The good news is that this behaviour is very manageable with the right knowledge and management, so please don’t let it put you off. He simply needs an owner who understands how to set him up for success and manage these situations appropriately.
Outside of that, Scooby is an absolute dream. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves everyone he meets. If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys cuddles, kisses and being close to his people, Scooby is your boy! He adores going for walks and, although he can be a little enthusiastic on the lead to begin with, he soon settles and is easy to handle.
Scooby is a genuinely sweet, gentle soul who deserves a second chance with a family who will see beyond one manageable behaviour and appreciate just how wonderful he is.
Scooby’s ideal home:
• Adult-only household.
• Someone willing to manage his resource guarding around high-value treats.
• Could live with another dog, pending successful introductions.
